Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum
The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Railroad Museum is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of American railroading through the history and stories of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O), the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway (C&O), the Western Maryland Railway (WM), and other railroads of the mid-Atlantic region. The museum is committed to exploring the broader social, economic, political and cultural issues associated with a technological industry that touched every aspect of American life.
The museum's historic roundhouse is set to reopen Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14. The roof of the roundhouse, originally built in 1884, collapsed during February of 2004, following a 20-inch snowfall.
