This article, from the April 24, 1914 issue of ''Railway Age Gazette'' provides a great deal of operational details on the Virginian Railway during its early years of operation. The articles includes elevation charts for the four divisions on the Virginian. The article also features charts showing the tonnage rating for various Virginian's steam locomotives for the Clarks Gap grade and for other points on the line.
