This article, from the Oct. 5, 1918 edition of Railway Review, describes the 2-10-10-2 type steam locomotives which had just been built by the American Locomotive Company for the Virginian Railway for use as pusher engines on the 14-mile grade between Elmore and Clarks Gap, West Virginia.
