An article published in the Nov. 4, 1905 issue of ''The Engineering and Mining Journal'' contains a good amount of information about the Deepwater Railway and Tidewater Railway, which would be combined in 1907 to form the Virginian Railway. The article speculates that Henry H. Rogers ''might'' be one of the principal figures associated with the two rail lines.
